DESCRIPTION LENVIMA 4mg (lenvatinib) is a prescription medicine used to treat certain kinds of cancer like Thyriod cancer and kidney cancer • LENVIMA 4mg is used by itself to treat differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC), a type of thyroid cancer, that can no longer be treated with radioactive iodine and is progressing • LENVIMA 4mg is used along with another medicine, everolimus, to treat advanced RCC, a type of kidney cancer, after one course of treatment with another anti-cancer medicine Lenvima 4mg - Thyroid Cancer (DTC) Lenvima 4mg Indicated for locally recurrent or metastatic, progressive, radioactive iodine-refractory DTC 24 mg (two 10 mg capsules and one 4 mg capsule) PO qDay Lenvima 4mg - Renal Cell Carcinoma (RCC) Lenvima 4mg Indicated in combination with everolimus for advanced RCC following 1 prior anti-angiogenic therapy 18 mg (one 10 mg capsule and two 4 mg capsules) plus everolimus 5 mg PO qDay Continue until disease progression or until unacceptable toxicity Take Lenvima 4mg with following instructions as per the healthcare professional advice • Take Lenvima 4mg (lenvatinib) at the same time of day. • Keep taking Lenvima 4mg (lenvatinib) as you have been told by your doctor or other health care provider, even if you feel well. • To gain the most benefit, do not miss doses. • Take with or without food. • Swallow whole. Do not chew or crush. • If you have trouble swallowing Lenvima 10mg (lenvatinib), the capsule can be dissolved in a small glass of water or apple juice. Dissolve the capsule as you have been told or read the package insert. Do not crush or break. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist if you have questions. • After mixing, take your dose right away. Do not store for future use. • After drinking, rinse the rest of the drug in the glass with more juice or water and drink. • If loose stools (diarrhea) or throwing up happens, you will need to make sure to avoid dehydration and electrolyte problems. Talk with the doctor. • Be careful in hot weather or while being active. Drink lots of fluids to stop fluid loss WARNING/CAUTION : Get medical emergency and help immediately if you have any of the following signs or symptoms that may be related to a very bad side effect: • Signs of an allergic reaction, like rash; hives; itching; red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin with or without fever; wheezing; tightness in the chest or throat; trouble breathing, swallowing, or talking; unusual hoarseness; or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat. • Signs of fluid and electrolyte problems like mood changes, confusion, muscle pain or weakness, a heartbeat that does not feel normal, very bad dizziness or passing out, fast heartbeat, more thirst, seizures, feeling very tired or weak, not hungry, unable to pass urine or change in the amount of urine produced, dry mouth, dry eyes, or very bad upset stomach or throwing up. • Signs of kidney problems like unable to pass urine, change in how much urine is passed, blood in the urine, or a big weight gain. • Signs of high or low blood pressure like very bad headache or dizziness, passing out, change in eyesight. • Signs of a urinary tract infection (UTI) like blood in the urine, burning or pain when passing urine, feeling the need to pass urine often or right away, fever, lower stomach pain, or pelvic pain. • Signs of low thyroid levels like hard stools (constipation); not able to handle cold; memory problems; mood changes; or a burning, numbness, or tingling feeling that is not normal. • Redness or irritation of the palms of hands or soles of feet. • Very bad belly pain. • Shortness of breath, a big weight gain, or swelling in the arms or legs. • Loose stools (diarrhea) that will not go away. • Very loose stools (diarrhea). Side effects : • Change in taste, Hard stools (constipation) , Cough. • Not hungry , Loose stools (diarrhea) ,Dizziness. • Dry mouth ,Hair loss ,Headache. • Belly pain or heartburn ,Mouth pain ,Mouth irritation or mouth sores. • Muscle or joint pain ,Upset stomach or throwing up ,Feeling tired or weak. • Not able to sleep ,Change in voice ,Weight loss. • LENVIMA may cause fertility problems in males and females.
